Terms of Service

Using PaperDock

You may use PaperDock to create, edit, review, discuss, compile, share, and manage LaTeX projects. You must comply with these terms and applicable law when using the service.

Accounts and Access

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and connected-agent authorizations secure and for activity performed through your account. You must provide accurate information and must not use another person's account without authorization.

Collaboration and Project Roles

Project owners can invite collaborators and assign roles that control access to project content and actions. If you invite another person or connect a service, you are responsible for choosing an appropriate role and permission scope. Collaborators are responsible for the changes and messages they make through their own access.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your project files and other content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights needed to upload, share, compile, or process that content. You grant PaperDock the limited permission needed to store, process, display, compile, synchronize, and transmit your content solely to provide, secure, and improve the service.

AI Agents, MCP, and Plugins

PaperDock lets you connect compatible third-party AI agents, MCP clients, servers, and plugins. A connected tool may read project context or perform actions allowed by your current project role, granted authorization scopes, and PaperDock's safety controls. You are responsible for the tools you connect and for reviewing their requested access.

AI-generated suggestions and automated edits may be incomplete, incorrect, or harmful. Review proposed and completed changes, chat messages, reviews, and compilation results before relying on them. Third-party tools are also governed by their own terms and policies.

Compilation and Third-Party Services

PaperDock may use server-side LaTeX tools, PDF rendering tools, authentication providers, hosting providers, email services, and reference integrations. Compilation, PDF output, SyncTeX navigation, and automated tooling may contain errors or fail. Keep appropriate copies of important source material and verify final research documents independently.

Acceptable Use

You may not use PaperDock to violate laws, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security controls, or access data or systems without authorization.

Service Limits and Availability

PaperDock may apply storage, upload, compilation, usage, or rate limits and may change them as the service evolves. Beta, preview, or coming-soon features may change or be removed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service for operational, security, or legal reasons.

Termination

You may stop using PaperDock at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or continued access creates legal, security, abuse, or operational risk. Where practical, you should export important project content before ending your use of the service.

Disclaimers

PaperDock is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free collaboration or compilation, or the accuracy of content produced by users, AI agents, compilers, or integrations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaperDock is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as PaperDock changes. We will post the revised terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
